Be a model for my pregnancy art!
I am actively seeking pregnant women who want to experience henna and be a model for an upcoming book on pregnancy.
If you are a person of color (BIPOC) please read this different page on modeling:
An overview of a modeling session:
You arrive at my Art Studio (which is in central Boulder, 2 blocks off Broadway)
After signing a model agreement so I can publish your photos on my website and social media, you will contribute $40 as a materials fee.
You change into some comfortable, silky, goddess wear from my studio wardrobe and recline in my tattoo chair
You receive henna adornment - tell me your ideas and I will incorporate them your custom design
After the henna has dried, you are photographed in my studio
A few days later you will receive an email with 4 digital images that are watermarked, ready to print and share as you wish.
If you are pregnant and interested in modeling for me, simply send me an email or text and include:

The photos:
I love creating art and photographing it - if I don’t, I’ll probably never see my art again. I have a wonderful studio and can take a variety of images with different backgrounds and an assortment of colorful silks to dress up in.
My goal is to create a new book on pregnancy, reflecting my growing artistic style.
OPTIONAL: If you have close female friends or family that would like to celebrate your pregnancy with you and be adorned too - let me know! Each person would need to sign a model release form. We can create a beautiful ceremony and photograph you all together. If you choose this option you will receive 4 additional images.
OPTIONAL: If you have time to return when the henna is peaking in color and want to include other children and/or your significant other, we can schedule a time for that - it would be 2 or 3 days after the henna has been applied. You would receive an additional 4 images from that session, for a total of 8 images of you pregnant.
Since 2008 I have adorned hundreds of models for various art projects.
I have printed 6 volumes of art on pregnancy - Blessed Belly, Blessed Baby: Honoring Motherhood with Henna Tattoos.
I have created 13 issues of a magazine - Artfull Mother: Devoted to the Interests of Mothers and the Art that Empowers Them.
I am very excited to be working on my next book on Pregnancy!
